Beginnings, Growth, and Perspective

For more than two decades now, National Computer Services (NCS) has been at the forefront of IT industry in the Middle East providing unparalleled business solutions to leading organizations and government entities all around the region.

Founded in 1977 as a division of the well-renowned Al Babtain group in Kuwait, NCS was established to maintain computer equipment manufactured by Digital Equipment Corporation throughout the Gulf. In 1980, NCS became the exclusive distributor for Digital in Kuwait and Bahrain. Over the years NCS expanded its portfolio of services as well as its operation in the region.

In 1988, following the merger between Compaq and Digital, NCS was appointed reseller for the entire Compaq product range including the AlphaServers previously manufactured by Digital. In the same year the operations in Kuwait & Bahrain received ISO 9002 certification for both Sales and Services.

In early 2005, as the Kuwait based conglomerate forges ahead into a more aggressive business environment, all the IT companies in the group have been unified into one independent whole under the umbrella NCS Middle East comprising of the following six subsidiaries:

Today, more than 25 years and six IT subsidiaries later, NCS Middle East has developed a solid track record in turnkey solutions, system integration, training, networking services and site preparation, all keeping with the management’s vision to be the solution provider of choice in the region.
